The Scheme will invest across sectors based on performance and potential of companies within the sectors. Further, it will invest predominantly in a mix of large cap and mid cap stocks. This portfolio diversification is with a view to derive superior performance compared to other diversified equity schemes.
Allocations between asset classes as well as the portfolio mix between large cap and mid cap stocks will be driven by the overall macro-economic situation. Further, the portfolio construction is based on bottom-up investment ideas.

Mr Harsha Upadhyaya
Education: Mr. Upadhyaya is a B.E (Mechanicial) from NIT Suratkal, PGDM from IIM Lucknow and CFA from the CFA Institute, USA.
Experience: Prior to joining Kotak Mutual fund he has worked with DSP Mutual Fund and UTI AMC.
(J) Taxability
Capital gains
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Further, Gains over Rs 1 lakh are taxed at the rate of 10%.
- Also, if the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 15%.
- However, No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
